Together, we’re building a brighter future for young people.

FlippGen is a youth-led organisation tackling digital wellbeing and online safety through lived experience. We empower Gen- Z to speak directly to younger children, parents, educators and policymakers, bringing a perspective that is relevant, positive and credible.

Digital Literacy

A new generation, empowered, not lectured.

We’ve raised the game and created our own digital literacy programme so schools and communities can help students shape healthier digital habits and empower them to thrive in the online world.

Digital Intelligenz is our near-peer digital literacy school workshop aimed at 9-13 year olds and delivered by 14-16 year olds. We want older teens to help shed light on what they’ve learnt and pass that knowledge down to the next generation.

Our Digital Rebels

Our youth board of Digital Rebels is made up of young people aged 18-25, from across the country. They are not just part of FlippGen’s work; they are FlippGen. As a youth-led organisation, all key decisions are made by the Digital Rebels.

How we do it

Three ways we're flipping the script.

FlippGen isn't just a movement, we operate on three fronts at once in order to make impactful change. Education that reaches young people, regulation that changes platforms, and conversation that moves the culture. Our youth board of Digital Rebels power all decisions, conversations and actions.

    Education

We believe education is absolutely essential to ensure young people are equipped to deal with the challenges that the digital world presents. We have developed a school workshop called Digital Intelligenz, to help young people navigate the online world. It is effectively “what we wish we had known before we got a phone”.

    Regulation

We campaign for stronger regulation to make the digital world a safer place. We believe in strength in numbers and it is clear that many young people share a vision for improving the regulation of AI and social media platforms for young people. This is why we set up For Us, a youth-led coalition, bringing together organisations and individuals who are passionate about empowering the next generation.

  • FlippGen Community

    Conversation

We think conversations are imperative to making the digital world a better place, and to empower young people to build healthy relationships. Whether that is conversations between Gen-Z and Gen-A, with parents, or with politicians, we believe talking about the issues are the first step in solving them. One of the ways we have conversations, is through our podcast, Flipp The Script.
