FlippGen Youth Advisory Board
Our youth board of Digital Rebels is made up of young people aged 14-25, from diverse walks of life. They are at the heart of decision making at FlippGen.
The Digital Rebels ensure all work is relevant and meets the needs of young people throughout the UK. Their contribution makes a difference in how we reach young people in an engaging way to ensure they understand the importance of using the digital world for all the good, and not the bad.
They help educate others on striking the right balance between online and offline life, how to stay safe online, and knowing where to get support if people ever need it.

Charlotte
Age: 22
Pronoun: she/herI am passionate about sport and getting everyone involved no matter their age or ability. Through this I have worked with various individuals, charities and companies to promote a more inclusive and accepting atmosphere within the industry.

This leads me to why I am passionate about digital wellbeing, sport allowed me to move away from the toxicity of social media and technology itself, giving me more focus on my mental health. Through personal experiences of digital burnout - stress, distraction, sleep disruption - and i want to help others avoid and recover from digital burnout. Even though alot of this is past experiences, I still suffer with the consequences now but through having a better balance between the digital space and real life; has allowed me to slowly heal and make a difference in myself
#iamflippgen for my younger self, no one should have to go through what I did because of social media.
-
Beth
Age: 25
Pronouns: she/herHaving grown up in the world of technology, I decided to pursue a career in tech where I have been for 8 years now.
Following from my career in tech, I am a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award holder which later led to me being selected to be a UK Youth Ambassador for the 2024-2025 cohort.
Having this experience has granted me with so many opportunities, such as speaking to MPs and MSPs, and going to the Houses of Parliament for the launch of the Youth Voice report which discusses on how young people are feeling about work, school, and life in general in the UK.
I want to use my experiences from growing up in the evolving world of technology to promote digital well-being and foster inclusive and safer environments.
#iamflippgen because despite all of the amazing things that tech can do, there is still more we can do to safeguard younger generations from the unpredictability of online networks.

Freyja
Age: 18
