Parental Controls on a Samsung Galaxy

Samsung phones have their own built-in tools on top of standard Android, including Kids Mode. Here's how to use them.

Samsung Kids Mode

Kids Mode turns your Samsung phone into a child-safe space. Your child can only access apps and content you approve.

1.  Open Settings and tap Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls.

2.  Tap Parental Controls and follow the setup steps.

3.  Alternatively, swipe down from the top of the screen, find Kids Mode in Quick Settings, and tap it.

4.  Set a PIN that your child doesn't know — this is how you get back in.

5.  Choose which apps and contacts your child can access inside Kids Mode.

Samsung Family Care App

For more advanced controls (location, screen time limits, app approvals), download Samsung Kids from the Galaxy Store or use Google Family Link alongside it.

Tip: Kids Mode changes the whole look of the phone — it becomes colourful and child-friendly. Your child won't be able to exit without your PIN.
