TikTok Family Pairing
Family Pairing lets you link your TikTok account to your child's so you can manage their settings remotely — without needing to know their password.
How to Set It Up
Open TikTok on your phone and tap Profile, then the three-line menu.
Go to Settings > Family Pairing.
Select Parent and follow the instructions to generate a QR code.
On your child's phone, open TikTok and go to the same menu.
Select Teen and scan the QR code from your phone.
You're now linked — manage everything from your own TikTok account.
What You Can Control
Screen time limits — set a daily maximum and a passcode to enforce it.
Restricted Mode — filters out content that may not be appropriate.
Direct Messages — turn off or limit who can message your child.
Search — disable search so your child only sees the For You feed.
Tip: TikTok automatically restricts accounts under 16 from direct messages, but Family Pairing lets you add extra layers on top of those defaults.
